If you are in an auto accident, regardless of who is at fault, the patient's own insurance company is in charge of handling medical bills. Policies limits vary and sometimes medical coverage can be covered under Oregon PIP. Personal Insurance Protection coverage, which in Oregon, usually covers medical expenses of up to $15,000 following an accident. If you are found to not be at fault for the accident, your insurance company will bill the other parties insurance company for charges made. To start treatment after an auto accident, contact your auto insurance and start a new claim. We will need your claim number to process the medical bills and obtain any information needed regarding your claim. If possible, please also provide your claims adjustor's phone number so we can stay in contact with them regarding your case.
Billing information on Worker's Compensation
In order to properly start chiropractic treatment for a Workers Comp case, the patient should start a new claim with their insurance. We will need the claim number and insurance information to allow us to find out if we are under contract with the workers comp company. This helps facilitate the process in terms of billing and charges and allows us to treat the patient right away.
